onlyfans' new terms: earnings can be held on a lower bar
from 1 november onlyfans can freeze an account and withhold earnings if it thinks you 'may have breached' the terms. slow answers to its emails count too.
what changed
onlyfans published new terms of use marked "last updated: october 2026", taking effect 1 november.
a clause-by-clause comparison by slypanorama found that the account freeze clause got looser.
the three missing words
the august 2024 version let onlyfans freeze an account and withhold earnings if "we think you have or may have seriously or repeatedly breached the terms of service".
the new section 14.b drops "seriously or repeatedly". the trigger becomes "we think you have or may have breached".
the comparison's reading: one suspected breach of any size can now be enough.
slow answers count
per the same comparison, answering onlyfans' information requests slowly is now its own reason in that clause.
other changes in the same rewrite
- onlyfans promises "reasonable efforts" to notify you of future changes, softer than before
- currency conversion fees on payouts are now taken by onlyfans itself
why it matters for a creator business
a held payout isn't a small problem for an agency. it's payroll.
and if a compliance email sits unread in a creator's inbox for a week, that alone can become a problem.
the short version
- one suspected breach can now be enough for a freeze
